Embedding Generic Skills

This project is one of the three proposed follow-on projects arising from the scoping study “Business as Usual?” conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council Teaching and Learning Network. The four graduate skills chosen are: critical thinking, teamwork, ethical practice and sustainability.

Assessing Graduate Skills

In consultation with academics, business representatives and students, we have developed four standards of achievement for the assessment of critical thinking, ethical practice, sustainability and teamwork. We have also made practical guides to use these standards to assess students and create learning outcomes.

Teaching & Learning Resources

We have developed a series of teaching and learning resources to promote the development of graduate skills. They include case studies, problem-solving, debates and class discussion. Although each learning module is categorised under one particular graduate skill, all contribute to the development of critical thinking, teamwork, sustainability and ethical practice. To contribute to the evaluation of this project and the ongoing development of teaching and learning resources, please take five minutes to complete a feedback form once you have used a resource in class.
